Course Information
The aim of this QQI Level 5 programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision in a range of community health service settings or to progress to further and/or higher education and training.

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI Level 4. For mature candidates (21+), experience will be considered in lieu of academic qualifications.
Note: This course requires participants to be Garda vetted. Continued participation on the course and work placement is dependent on the successful completion of this process
Course Fees
Student Services €150, Government Levy €200 (Medical card holders exempt), Patient Handling €40, QQI Exam fees €50 (Medical card holders exempt), Uniform €25 Total: €465 (€215 with Medical Card)

Career Prospects
There has been a rapid growth in the employment opportunities for holders of a QQI Level 5 full award in Community Health Services with the development of community-based care. The College has developed links with care organisations who will come to speak to course participants about employment opportunities in the area.
